High LevelVerification Software Development Intern

ElectronicDesign Automation

This summerintern position offers an opportunity to contribute to various areas ofCalypto’s Catapult Formal product. It involves work on language frontends forC++, SystemC, and RTL, data flow analysis, netlist database and optimizations,and solver orchestration and benchmarking. The intern will engage in debuggingusing industry standard waveform and testbench formats and integrate withthird-party tools for waveforms and simulation. They will interact withdifferent product groups, field engineers, and customers to develop uniqueformal verification solutions for requirements such as C++ high-levelsynthesis, CPU/FPU formal verification, and RTL power optimizations.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Engage insoftware development, testing, and adherence to code quality best practices.
  • Conductbenchmarking and create comprehensive documentation.
  • Debug softwarein-house or in customer environments.
  • Developsolutions and methodologies for unique customer challenges.
  • Communicateeffectively with peers, other teams, and customers.
  • Assist seniorengineers in designing, developing, modifying, and implementing softwareprogramming for products.
  • Focus onsurpassing customer expectations by achieving high quality and on-timedelivery.
  • Ensure thefunctional quality of the released product on all required platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Working towardsa technical degree (minimum BS) in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalentexperience. MS/PhD candidates preferred; strong BS candidates considered.
  • Strong skillsin algorithms, data structures, program/data flow analysis, and computerarithmetic.
  • Proficiency inobject-oriented programming (C++ preferred), scripting languages (Tclpreferred), and familiarity with RTL (SystemVerilog and Verilog preferred; VHDLis a plus). Knowledge of SystemC is a plus.
  • Experienceworking in a Linux environment.
  • Commitment tocreating high-quality solutions, including peer review of code, writing tests,updating documentation, adhering to coding style guides, and writing monitoringchecks.
  • Self-motivatedwith the ability to work constructively and productively both on a team andindependently.
  • Familiaritywith verification or formal verification, knowledge of EDA, and understandingof compilers and parse trees are desirable.

The hourly range for this position is $22.00 to $50.00 for technicalroles or $18.00 to $44.00 for non-technical positions. Siemens offers a varietyof health and wellness benefits to employees.
