Emulation Product Software Engineer

(Research & Development focus)

Siemens EDA (Electronic Design Automation) providescutting edge solutions for all aspects of Semiconductor design.  Weprovide complete product suites to guide engineers from product conception,simulation and verification to final layout and manufacture.

Within Siemens EDA, The Veloce Emulation Product Line isthe center of the HAV (Hardware Assisted Verification)portfolio.  Siemens emulation products provide a unique and vitalfunction for verification and validation of modern SoC designs from all the topSemi-Conductor firms worldwide.  Emulation tools provide pre-silicontesting to drive first pass silicon success at speeds 1000s of times fasterthan simulation.  With tools to allow both HW and SW engineers totest and complex real-world situations, emulation is a must have for any modernIC.

Joining the Veloce Emulation team you will be tasked withvarious projects requiring broad knowledge of modern digital circuitverification flows, scripting languages, and simulation/emulation bestpractices. 

Your role may include:

·        Partnering with senior product engineers todevelop, modify, and implement best practices for variousemulation/verification environments.

·        Develop scripts to automate and simplify complexverification tasks.

·        Implement demo solutions and reference designsfor HW/SW validation of modern SoC designs.

·        Document solutions for training and educationpurposes.

·        Training and knowledge development on modernverification tools such as

·        UVM, System Verilog, Verilog, VHDL, C/C++

·        Digital Simulation (Questa), Emulation (Veloce)

·        Scripting languages (Perl, Python, TCL)

Organization Requirements:

·        Studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Electricalor Computer Engineering

·        Upper classman is preferred

·        Student must be proactive, capable of settingtheir own timelines, able to work independently

·        Rapidly learn new skills and adapt to changingrequirements.

·        Strong knowledge of modern digital circuitverification required.

The hourly range for this position is $22.00 to $50.00.Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
