As an intern inProduct Engineering, you will dive into exploring and prototyping ML-basedsolutions related to Caibre Cluster Manager (CalCM) software. You will have theopportunity to learn and evaluate different ML-based solutions to explore andprototype using Python and ML packages in Linux environment. The project willinvolve working on the following areas:
- Defineperformance evaluation metrics for existing machine learning models
- Createreports and dashboards to closely monitor performance metrics and provideinsights
- Createa prototype to proactively detect and report model drift
- Helpdrive optimization, testing, and tooling to improve the model quality
You will alsocreate, document, and present progress of your work to CalCM team on a regularbasis. While you will work with general supervision on these projects and havethe opportunity to partner with senior engineers, it will also be important toact with independent judgment when necessary.
OrganizationRequirements:
- Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or in a related field
- Experience building and tuning machine learning models with deep learning frameworks like Tensorflow and Keras
- Familiar using Linux environment
- Familiar with Linux shell scripting along with Python or high level programming language
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel PowerPoint)
- Passionate, driven, and proactive
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Desire to continuously improve andlearn about new areas
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Inspires collaboration
The hourly range for this position is $22.00 to $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
