This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional,looking for the next step in their career. As a Staff Sustaining Engineeryou will be responsible for:

  • Sustaining Engineering: Provide expertise andguide sustaining engineering projects through the product development andSustaining procedure, ensuring the continuous improvement and support ofexisting ultrasound products.
  • OEM Device Integration: Collaborate withcross-functional teams to define, specify, and integrate OEM devices intoultrasound systems.
  • System Optimization: Identify opportunities forsystem optimization, performance enhancement, and cost reduction throughinnovative engineering solutions.
  • Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality andverification teams to address any issues related to OEM device integration andoverall system performance.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detaileddocumentation for engineering specifications, integration processes, andtroubleshooting guides.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with hardware andsoftware engineers, as well as other stakeholders, to achieve seamlessintegration and sustained product excellence.

Required skills to have for the success of this role:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Minimum of a bachelor’sdegree in an engineering discipline (e.g., Electrical Engineering, MechanicalEngineering, or related field).
  • Proven experience in the revision of electronicand/or mechanical designs, defining and specifying, OEM devices, andintegrating these into medical imaging systems, with a focus on ultrasound.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical skills usingdesign tools such as Mentor and Windchill, and devices such as control panels,monitors, physio modules, wifi modules, and other relevant devices.
  • Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solvingskills and the ability to troubleshoot complex engineering issues.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills,both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information todiverse audiences.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in acollaborative team environment.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in afast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to evolving project requirements.

The pay range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000 annually;however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. The annual incentive target is 10% of base pay.
