Your success is grounded in:

  • Holding a B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
  • Bringing over 14 years of robust industry experience, which includes 6-7 years of experience in device driver development and 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Android BSP development
  • Demonstrating extensive knowledge of the Linux kernel and having a history of valuable contributions to the open-source community in Linux domain
  • Exhibiting excellent proficiency in shell scripting and Python, maximising these skills for efficient and effective problem-solving
  • Displaying an in-depth understanding of operating systems and computer architecture, showcasing expertise in different architectures such as ARM, RISCV, etc.
  • Showcasing a successful track record completing significant Linux projects, having led teams of 2 to 3 individuals.
  • Possessing strong interpersonal skills, coupled with a self-driven and proactive approach to tasks and challenges.

You'll make a difference by:

  • Engaging with Sokol Flex OS, a Yocto based Linux distribution, wherein contributing to services projects and Android Board support packages
  • Working on Linux kernel development, focusing on device drivers, and features such as Linux security, firmware updates and virtualization
  • Preparing BSPs for simulation models, integrating Linux BSPs, and creating recipes for building open-source packages, enhancing the overall file system for a BSP using Yocto distribution
  • Rapidly comprehending Siemens Simulation Models, understanding their workings, and deploying Linux/Android
  • Contributing to the Yocto project, reinforcing our commitment to open-source initiative
  • Presenting at conferences, representing Siemens and showcasing the contributions made in the field, and engaging in pre-sales activities and win projects for Siemens
  • Leading and mentoring small teams for specific projects, and communicating directly with customers and other Siemens divisions during projects
  • Providing recommendations and preparing comprehensive design documents to facilitate customer understanding of proposed solutions
