• Conforming to Siemens processes, quality standards and guidelines
• Configuration of test automation tooling and infrastructure
• Creation of test cases and reporting
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable test cases
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using in-house test automation framework,
• Ensuring that an initial test concept exists by collaborating with Scrum Team.
• Execution of manual and automated tests
• Identifying existing test gaps together with the team
• Implementation of automated tests (including relevant test infrastructure),their executions and improve test automation framework
• Organizing, coordinating and harmonizing the test activities within a project / a release.
• Preparing the overall test plan for a project / a release.
• Recording and tracking defects using standard bug tracking tools
• Tracking and reporting of software / algorithm quality based on automated and manual tests and other verification procedures
• Verification of software quality in industrial devices and applications in the area of digitalization
• Collaborate with other test responsibles
What you need to make real what matters.
• BSc., MSc. or PhD. in computer science or a related areas
• Proven 3+ years of experience in software development in testing
• Development/Test experience on Linux and Windows environments
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Experience in software test automation development
• Experience in test processes and software product release processes
• Experience with test case management tools
• Excellent understanding of testing concepts in the software development lifecycle
• Expertise in test automation, test and CI related tooling (both test management and test automation e.g. Pytest, Robot Framework, TFS, Azure TestPlan, Jenkins)
• Expertise in test case management systems (e.g. Azure TestPlans, MTM,…)
• Professional and hands-on test automation development experience in Python
• Proven ability to work with developers to narrow down issues
• Solid computer science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and problem solving is a plus
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes required
• Strong problem solving and analytical thinking
• ISTQB Certification is a plus
• Experience with test automation scripts using shell scripting in Linux
• Experience in source code management (Git, TFS)
• Experience in Ethernet, Switching and Routing Technologies is a plus
• Experience in testing Web Applications (for both UI and API testing) is a plus
• Self-Directed and High Energy
• Strong collaboration, communication and negotiation skills
• Very good command of English (German is a plus)
