About the role / Segment 

We are looking for a highlymotivated engineer to join our Software Quality Assurance Engineer team. As aQA engineer you will be part of the international team that develops Design-forTest Tessent Products. You will have the opportunity to test tools that arevital in testing and validating ICs such as microprocessors, SoCs, GPUs andmemories used by the world’s leading semiconductor companies. Working in thisposition you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality andreliability of our Tessent software products. The individual will workclosely with the software application developers and Product Manager to helpdeliver timely product releases that effectively meet our customer'sneeds. 


The successful candidate willneed to be a highly motivated engineer with excellent communication skills, andthe ability to successfully interact with fellow team members and developers ona daily basis.


Your qualifications

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,Computer/Electrical Engineering, or other related field.
  • 2+ years experienced in test automation.
  • Knowledge at least one of the scripting languages(TCL, Python, bash)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills inEnglish
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Experienced in UNIX or LINUX operating systems.
  • Ability to solve complex issues using analytical skills.
  • Basic knowledge in electronics or hardware descriptionlanguages (Verilog, VHDL) would be additional advantage.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical conceptsclearly and effectively.


Area of responsibility 

You will be part of the teamresponsible for ensuring and providing the best quality for Tessent Products.One of the quality assurance responsibilities is to create acomprehensive test plan that covers new enhancements based on thefunctional specification and collaboration with Product Manager, developers andcolleagues with QA team. As a member of the product team, you will be alsoattending product meetings to understand project scope and have the opportunityto discuss ideas about new features that will be implemented. You will be anintegral part of the development process and support the team in identifyingpotential bugs in requirements.


Working in the QA team youwill be designing, implementing and maintaining automation test cases writtenin TCL programming language and store it in our repository. Track and reportall identified bugs to ensure the best quality of our products delivered tocustomers. Quality assurance responsibilities will involve the creation ofautomation test cases used to measure the quality, performance or usefulness ofTessent products in our design flow and to improve test specifications byanalyzing the root causes of technical issues, and develop testing solutionsfor those root causes.
