What do you contribute?

  • On the driver's cab display systems of the high-speed and regional trains, the most important technical data is displayed to the driver in real time. As a software engineer (f/m/d) for display systems, you will ensure error-free and clear visualisation.
  • To do this, you will collect and structure requirements, create solution concepts in cooperation with other engineering units and develop software architectures for the driver's cab display system.
  • You will support the "adaptation development" of the application, sequence and project planning software of the Sibas 32 display system, with the medium-term objective of assuming full responsibility.
  • In addition, you will carry out software integration and tests and convince yourself of the results of your work by ensuring functionality in the laboratory or on the vehicle.
  • The result of your work is a high-quality display software whose interfaces to the vehicle control system or vehicle control technology function smoothly.
  • Based on this task, you can develop further as a specialist expert in an exciting technical environment, depending on your interests and suitability.


What do you bring along?

  • The basis of your success is a completed technical bachelor's degree and several years of experience in software development.
  • In addition, you have very good knowledge of legacy operating systems or have no fear of contact with them and are very familiar with window managers (especially MS DOS and Windows for Workgroups).
  • You are confident in handling current operating systems as well as virtualisation software (VmWare, Virtual Box, Windows 7 and higher).
  • Furthermore, you convince with extensive knowledge in programming and debugging in the environment of C and assembler as well as in batch scripting for troubleshooting and customisation development.
  • You bring expertise in networks and network protocols and ideally bus systems and are familiar with automation systems (e.g. Sibas 32).
  • Knowledge with imaging systems or in the railway sector is an advantage.
  • You speak fluent German and English.
