What part will you play?

As a member of an agile and cross-functional team, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • You will contribute to the ongoing maintenance and updates of the operating system for our protective devices in energy networks
  • Furthermore, you will make adjustments to the bootloader and kernel (Linux, RTOS) and port them to our ARM-based hardware platforms
  • You will be involved in the design, development, and testing of new and existing Linux drivers
  • Additionally, you will diagnose and resolve operating system and hardware-related field issues
What you need to make real what matters.
  • The base of your profile is a completed master's degree in computer science, technical computer science, or a comparable qualification
  • In addition, you have several years of experience in scripting languages such as Python and Bash scripting
  • You possess solid knowledge in some of the following areas and you are interested in expanding your expertise in other fields:
    • Operating Systems: Embedded Linux and/or Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
    • Adaptation of kernel drivers
    • Development in the field of embedded systems with real-time requirements
    • Bootloader
  • Git and DevOps-based software development is is familiar to you
  • You program confidently in C/C++ and are familiar with modern, professional software systems.
  • A structured, solution-oriented, and goal-oriented approach and work methodology characterizes you
  • You communicate fluently in both German and English
