Software Engineer - C++, CAD - Siemens - Pune

Job description

Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, modify, and implement software programming for CAD product

Responsible for ensuring the overall functional quality of the released product on all required platforms.

Creates, documents, and executes software designs which may involve complicated workflows or multiple product areas

Participate in reviews of Requirements, Functional Specifications, Design Specifications, and Test Plans.

Develop unit test cases and automated test cases.

Maintain existing software code - analyse and resolve customer and internally reported problems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a closely related

field

Experience

5+ years’ experience as a Software Development Engineer. We can also consider candidates with 3 to 4 years of experience if they have good academics and experience.
Experience in CAD industry would be a good add-on, but not a must. Especially from CAD organizations like Dassault, PTC, Autodesk, OnShape etc.

Required Core Skills

Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages, data structures and design principles
Conversant with modern software engineering methodologies.
Ability to tackle problems involving large, complex systems.
Ability to collaborate optimally across subject areas, roles, and geographical and time zone boundaries.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Quick learner and open to learn new technology.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
