Software Development Engineer

Within the Test Department, we are searching for a Software Development Engineer to join our team in Leuven, Belgium.

Function

You will be member of the team that is responsible for the development and the support of the tools that are used for the internal processes within the Test division. This includes the build environment, the automatic test environment, installation creation of the different products.

As member of the team, you will contribute to:

· Development and maintenance of the software development infrastructure used for Test.Lab, Test.Xpress, and TecWare for the different sites
· Development and maintenance of Siemens-specific tools developed on top of Visual Studio
· Defining and monitoring of the daily build. Executing corrective actions in case of failing build process
· Developing and monitoring of daily automated regression tests. Executing corrective actions in case of failing tests
· Support for the development teams
· Support regarding the development infrastructure
· Closely working together with the division in implementing corporate projects
· Participation in product development
· Creation and maintenance the installation packages for Test.Lab
· Development and maintenance of the Intranet Portal for development
· Maintenance and development of extensions to the development portal
· Support to the organization related to metrics
· Continuous improvement of the development infrastructure
· Configuration of commercial applications (web and desktop) for improvement of the development infrastructure (e.g. Teamcity, TFS)
· Benchmarking and deployment of tools to support software development

Profile Requirements:

Educational Level: Graduate in informatics

Required knowledge:

· Programming knowledge in an object oriented language, preferably C++, C# or VB
· SQL
· Working with windows, client and server
· Knowledge TFS is a plus
· Languages: good knowledge of English (both written and spoken)

Not required, but is an asset
