Mentor, a Siemens business, MED 5G Division, is seeking highly motivated, responsible and self-starting engineers to join our Development team in Oulu .

The role, as part of a software team, is chartered to build and ensure compliance of a comprehensive test suite of Fronthaul protocols.
Job Description:

As the Software Development Engineer you’ll work on the X-STEP Fronthaul Protocol Suite which will involve development and integration of test software and protocols

Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions.

Design, analyze and implement frontaul protocols, control software and reporting tools.

Support and develop software engineers by providing advice, mentoring and informative opportunities.

Build reusable generic components that can be utilized by other Mentor tools and divisions.
Job Requirements:

Previous experience in agile software development using C/C++ technologies would be helpful

Understanding in Ethernet or Fronthaul protocols (such as O-RAN, xRAN, eCPRI, CPRI, JESD204, OBSAI)
Good written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently with little supervision

Proactive and flexible
