Siemens EDA hasan opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to be part of theBuild and Infrastructure Group for their flagship Calibre product. The groupworks on multiple areas of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) includingSource code management, building CI/CD pipelines, developing, and supportinginfrastructure on-prem and in the cloud, licensing, clearing OSS (Open-SourceSoftware), build and release management.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that theOpen-Source Software and 3rd Party Software needed for Software Releases areproperly cleared, built, and documented.
  • Develop and enhance the3rd Party software build and CI/CD system.
  • Participate in projectsto improve the tools and development environments for R&D.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education andExperience:

  • BS in Computer Scienceor equivalent work experience required.
  • Knowledge and experiencewith Build and CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with Linuxoperating systems strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Gitpreferred.
  • Proficiency with atleast one scripting language (e.g., Bash, Python) preferred.
  • The candidate must exhibita service-oriented attitude and be able to work effectively with a world-wide,multi-site development environment.
  • The candidate shouldhave a strong desire for continuous improvement and have a passion forautomation and making tasks repeatable.
  • This position requiresthe ability to complete assignments on schedule and present results.
  • This position requiresexcellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills, as well asgreat attention to detail.
  • The ability to workconstructively and productively on a team, as well as alone, is essential.
  • The candidate should beresourceful, self-motivated, and comfortable taking initiative whenappropriate.
  • Excellent debugging andproblem-solving skills are key attributes, including the ability toinvestigate, isolate and remedy software defects.

This position will besubject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic inArms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status orobtaining any necessary export license.

The salary range forthis position is $82,900 to $149,200 and this role is eligible to earnincentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on thesuccessful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, includingjob-related skills, experience, and relevanteducation/training.  Siemens offers a variety of health and wellnessbenefits to employees.
