We're seeking a dynamic and seasoned engineer to join our technology and innovation team. This individual will have a pivotal role in designing and creating new technologies by working closely with data scientists, developers, and domain experts. Responsibilities will involve refining problem statements, validating AI solutions, and ensuring they align with the organization's objectives.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Data Scientists and Engineers within the team to design and implement AI/ML pipelines, models, and components, which will form the foundation of Siemens' next-generation AI-powered products and services.
- Work closely with peers and partners, including software engineers, product managers, and domain experts, to ensure that AI innovations are swiftly transitioned into production while adhering to all Siemens Industrial Grade requirements.
- Take the lead in architecting and developing innovative AI/ML solutions.
- Develop systems architecture, technical roadmaps, and prototypes.
- Create, test, and deploy AI models into production using AWS/Azure services.
- Serve as an expert in Generative AI and Machine Learning.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to junior data scientists and analysts.
- Continuously explore new AI techniques and methodologies to foster innovation.
Qualifications
- BSc, MSc, or PhD degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, with a focus on Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence.
- +7 years of industry experience, applying AI/ML techniques, including model and pipeline development, within the product/service/solution development lifecycle.
- +3 years of hands-on experience in web application development.
- Proficient in Python and PyTorch (or TensorFlow), with familiarity in model training recipes and pipelines.
- Familiarity with Generative AI technologies such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, and open-source Large Language Models is highly desirable.
- Experience with Azure Machine Learning (or AWS SageMaker) and other cloud-based solutions integral to an AI ecosystem.
- Experience with MLOps / LLMOps pipelines and strong engineering practices throughout all phases of AI/ML development.
- Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills, effective presentation abilities, and a proficient command of English.
