For our Railway Automation Projects, we are looking for a PM in Guangzhou.

What are my responsilibites?

The Project Manager (PM) is an entrepreneur for the time being and is the responsible Manager to achieve all agreed upon project goals (individual, project specific PM-Target agreement)

The Project Manager organizes and ensures the achievement of the technical and financial project goals. He sets the directives regarding scope and Quality, schedule and costs.

The main tasks of the Project Manager are (subject to change based on contractual regulations):

• Representing the project to the customer as well as to partners
• As sold cost calculation (with the Bid Project Manager)
• Planning of the Project
• Setup of the project team and definition of split of responsibilities
• Eventually definition of goal achievement plans with the Work Coordinators
• Internal project controlling (schedule, costs, quality)
• Coordination and supervision of interface clarification between organizations
• Decisions on purchase strategy in alliance with purchasing
• Developing of remedies in case of plan deviations
• Regularly project reports
• Execution of milestone review meetings
• Execution of project status meetings
• Customer management
• Contract management
• Risk/opportunity management
• Claim management
• Change-order management
• Create of a final project report

What do I need to qualify for this job?

Education:

· Bachelor degree or above.

Ability:

· Be able to establish role in project team, makes active contributions to division of work, and establishes connections to other project activities.
· Be able to utilize project management tools and methods

Experience:

· At least 2-3 years professional experience in order execution, erection/commissioning, engineering (planning, conception/IT) or sales, plus 1-2 years complementary tasks incl. period abroad.
· At least 1 year experience managing Category B or C project.
· Has experience as subproject manager with responsibility for budget
· Has been leading specialist in a team for at least one year
· Has lived and worked abroad and has worked in international teams is preferable.

Language:

· Fluent in English.

This includes railway automation, infrastructure logistics, intelligent traffic and transport systems, and technologies for developing the infrastructure for electric mobility.
