PositionOverview:

SiemensMobility Customer Services is in search of a Project Manager to work within itsvehicle contract services product line. Customer Services is the service armfor Siemens Mobility rolling stock products including Light Rail Vehicles, and Locomotivesand Coaches, covering customer needs throughout North America.

Asa project manager, you will expand and improve the current service vision forthese products and develop an ongoing strategy of service improvement, productsales growth, contract execution, and contract management. You will analyzemarket and competitive conditions to strike a clear path toward the businessvalue of partnering with Siemens and move the offering to the next level ofgrowth and success.  One will work withvarious groups within the Siemens organization and collaborate with customersto meet the needs and expectations of their contract projects 

Contractquantities, sizes, and duration will vary with the vehicle contracts and thesuccessful candidate will be one who can stay on task and timeline, whilehandling and multi-tasking the needs of several contract projects at the sametime.

What yourday-to-day will look like:

  • Manage the products, solutions,and/or services assigned with full responsibility for the results, includingdefinition of customer and market requirements, growth & profit strategies,business planning, road mapping, resource planning, and execution.
  • Understand contract obligations atboth the bid and the project execution phases. Know customer needs throughcontract analysis, research, and market data.
  • Comfortable with negotiationpractices and techniques, as well as managing project contract obligations inalignment with customer service and business goals.
  • Constantly observe the marketincluding internal and external factors as well as relevant competitors'product(s), solution(s) and/or service(s) to adjust product strategies andpaths forward.
  • Establish, develop, and manage orsynchronize a relevant cross functional team necessary to support the businessgoals of the product and services.
  • Incorporate market feedbackincluding customer insights for continuous improvement of the service program(s).
  • Create, develop, and refinerelevant performance metrics based on contracted service obligations.
  • Contribute to activities tocontinuously improve the vehicle contract services product and execution.
  • Create long and short-term orderand sales forecasts and analysis for management.
  • Determine product pricing based onmarket research, production costs and anticipated demand.
  • Develop execution plans forcontract products and services, negotiate solutions with customers, and work onbid development teams.
  • Develop and deliver monthly project reports, customer progress reports, customer change proposals, and presentations to management and internal / external customers.

To thrivein this role, you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or in lieu of Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 2 years of job related experience will be considered,
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office proficient,
  • Excellently demonstrated verbal and writtencommunication skills,
  • Excellently demonstrated presentation skills,
  • Ability to handle multiple activities in anexciting fast paced environment,
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time,
  • Setting you apart from others wouldbe Bachelor's degree with 2 years ofexperience in project management utilizing SAP. A PMP certification is a plus.

Siemensoffers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.  Detailsregarding our benefits can be found here: https://www.benefitsquickstart.com/siemens/index.html.  The base salary range for thisposition in Sacramento, CA is $89,000-$120,100. The actual salary/wage offered may be lower or higher depending onbudget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
