What do you contribute?
- You will be part of the engineering team for our international locomotive projects in Europe, Asia and North America. Our locomotives run up to 230 km/h and carry loads of several thousand metric tons.
- You will be responsible for the technical clarification, specification, software development and verification of the traction system for our electric or hybrid-electric locomotives.
- You will bring the traction hardware to life with your developed software (continuous flow chart) and test it both in the laboratory and on the locomotive itself (test center are available for this purpose in Germany and the Czech Republic).
- You will pick up market requirements and trends and derive from them the technical further development of the traction control system.
- You will work together as a team on solutions for current design, new customer requirements, improvements and new functions.
- Your always stay focused on the reusability of your work results to foster our platform strategy. You have an eye on costs and deadlines and track them individually for your fields of activity.
- In addition, you put the results into practice to increase the efficiency and reliability of the vehicles.
What do you bring along?
- You have a completed master's degree in electrical engineering or mechatronics with a focus on drive technology and/or power electronics.
- In addition, you have a longstanding experience in the field of control of electrical drives.
- You have sound knowledge in structured and model-based software development - from requirements analysis to testing and documentation.
- You have knowledge in alternative drive technologies like battery and/or hydrogen.
- You can understand and define complex systems and use a structured way of working, problem solving and documentation.
- You are willing to travel as required in the work environment (up to 20%).
