Sr. Semiconductor Modeling Engineer - (Hybrid)

Job description
- Support the software development team with advanced semiconductor technology node modeling (devices, metal layers), accuracy analysis and automation/optimization tools
- Promotes innovation through the ability to introduce new technology/knowledge into at least one area of a product and to our people.
- Works without supervision on highly complex projects with complete latitude for independent judgment and technical expertise.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, (semiconductor device) Physics, Computer Science, or related discipline, from an accredited institution.
- Deep knowledge of semiconductor processes, advanced technology nodes and device modeling, and motivation to stay current with advanced node developments from leading semiconductor foundries.
- 3+ years of EDA software development and/or professional user experience, ideally in parasitic extraction
- Practical (scientific, ML) software development experience on projects that required numerical linear algebra and data structures/algorithms for high-volume data analysis, optimization and computing.
- Excellent scripting, programming (C++), and software engineering skills.
- Strong team player with solid interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong ability and interest to learn, explore, and apply new technologies in the domains of software engineering, computer science, and numerical mathematics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivation, self-discipline, and the ability to set and work consistently toward personal goals
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, (semiconductor device) Physics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Experience with multi-threaded, distributed, and high-performance computing.
- Experience with PDE solvers and electromagnetics.
- IC CAD experience (DRC, LVS, extraction, simulation).
- Experience with UNIX and/or LINUX platforms.

The salaryrange for this position is $121,400 to $218,500 and this role is eligible toearn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on thesuccessful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, includingjob-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
