Senior Software Engineer - EDA C++ (Remote USA)

Job description

The development and evaluation of EDA design software and systems for internal and external products is a critical function for organizations seeking to exceed customer expectations. Consulting services must be provided to clients regarding future upgrades and products while executing complex software designs that require significant re-architecture of crucial systems. Coordinating the implementation process and promoting innovation through state-of-the-art technology and knowledge into multiple product areas are also essential. Understanding complex products, solutions, and problems and constructive communication skills is necessary for working well within a team environment. The position also entails assisting in setting the technical direction for the Layout Automation Team's physical design area of the ICDS product portfolio and serving as technical support for projects that span multiple areas of a product. The role is responsible for ensuring the functional quality of the released product on all required platforms and systems while working independently on the most complex projects and demonstrating technical expertise and judgment.

Required Experience
•  BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering; or other OR at least five years of C++ experience in the EDA industry
• Minimum 1 year working experience in a related field
• Visual Studio IDE using C++ and popular libraries
• Scripting experience with Python, Tcl, Bash, or Csh
• Knowledge of Jira and Confluence, or equivalent 
• Advocate for structured development, debug, verification, and documentation processes
• Working experience with EDA concepts and methodologies
• Ability to resolve issues in creative ways and exercise self-directed judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions
• Experience designing and promoting solutions to complex software development challenges
• Demonstrated experience executing projects from start to completion
• Demonstrated experience contributing complex portions to larger team design/development

Preferred Experience
• MS in Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent


Thisposition will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under theInternational Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export AdministrationRegulations (EAR).  Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S.Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.

The salary range for this position is $121,400 to$218,500 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actualcompensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location aswell as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, andrelevant education/training.  Siemensoffers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
