This is a rolewell suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in theircareer. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsiblefor:

  • Ensuringequipment meets performance and quality goals.
  • Identifyingand implementing process improvements and cost reductions to achieve continuousimprovement goals.
  • Working withmaintenance technicians, operations staff, and technical operations to act onopportunities related to manufacturing process and equipment
  • Generatingprocess documentation including detailed work instructions and preventativemaintenance plans.

The job scope goesbeyond the mechanical equipment focus to include the manufacturing process aswell as process control methods.

While this is a 1stshift position, flexibility in work hours isrequired.  This position may require off shift work hours based onbusiness needs.  Travel not to exceed 15% per year.

Required skills to have for the success of thisrole

·      BS/MS Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

·      Must have demonstrated ability to work independentlyand participate on cross functional teams.

·      Be familiar with mechanical design and thefunctioning of complex manufacturing equipment.

·      Hands-on experience diagnosing and fixing mechanicaland controls problems with automated production equipment.

·      Ability to combine hands-on experience withengineering theory.

·      Have demonstrated effective formal written and oralcommunication skills.

·      Experience with programming Programmable LogicControllers (PLC) and electrical debug 

Preferred Experienceand Skills:

·      Experience supporting high volume, automatedassembly equipment 

·      Experience working in a medical diagnostic orsimilarly regulated industry

·      Machine design using solid modeling (Solidworksexperience)
