What are my responsibilities?
- Support the System Integration Manager for the preparation, coordination, and conclusion of the overall system engineering, system integration, and activities according to the contract and relevant rules and guidelines.
- Ensure that the overall system engineering is in close collaboration with all involved subsystems within the required time and within budget with the vital quality.
- Work in close collaboration with the civil Engineering, and T&C team to ensure overall integration with the rail systems works.
- Ensure the implementation of the system engineering aspects of the project requirements and the implementation of specific system engineering plans and procedures.
- Ensure that a fully integrated system, that meets the requirement, is safe and operable.
- Establish the system solution and integration process according to the contract and company standards and within the defined requirements (e.g., time, quality, cost)
- Support the integration of interfaces between customers, partners, and sub-suppliers or subsystems and guide members of all involved engineering teams.
- Evaluate the subsystem technologies and contractual compliances of technical requirements.
- Support in reviewing engineering designs and coordinates lines of action
- Conduct technical support of the manufacturing and commissioning engineers regarding analysis of technical solutions and answering of technical inquiries.
- Coordinate systems integration with the civil works engineering ensuring civil and rail systems works are coordinated and integrated.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Degree or system engineer with railway specific specialization.
- Professional experience and evaluation expertise in railway transportation systems.
- Experience in high-speed systems is a plus.
- Experience as a team member in international projects.
- Experience in technical engineering and interface management and requirements management including verification and validation, RAM, safety, operational aspects (specifically Highspeed) EMC, earthing and bonding, test & commissioning, etc.
- Experience with major subsystems of a railway turnkey project, e.g., Signaling, Railway Communication, Electrification, Power Supply, Rolling Stock, SCADA, AFC, Track Work, etc.
- Knowledge of civil engineering construction and requirements pertaining to rail systems work.
- Experience in reading and understanding of contractual technical requirements.
- Knowledge of engineering processes and standards associated with this, e.g., EN 50126, EN50128, EN50129.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English.
- High level of customer and quality orientation
