Then come and join our global team as Senior Data Management Expert (f/m/d) to support the Product Owner in the delivery of various Data Catalog topics in the area of Data Management and Governance.


Our goal is to enable data owners, data stewards and business stakeholders to structure, discover, analyze, control, model, trust and understand enterprise data and analytics to drive digitalization in the organisation.


Choose the best place for your work - within the scope of this position, it is possible to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working time in agreement with your manager.


Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • As part of the Data Catalog team in IT, you will be responsible for shaping a range of topics in the areas of data management, data governance and data architecture together with business units
  • You will drive implementations in the Data Catalog and environment, based on a data-oriented framework and data strategy, and work with stakeholders globally to analyse, understand and implement data management requirements
  • You will participate in target architecture design decisions in close coordination with topic owners or actively drive decisions through informed recommendations to domain/enterprise architects or management
  • You will advise on data management, metadata management, data quality, data architecture, data governance, data domains, data standards, regulatory issues, etc.
  • You will play a key role in defining, planning and implementing roadmaps for various data initiatives and projects
  • You will ensure continuous exchange and reporting to management and coordinate measures with stakeholders in the communities, committees and councils around the topic
  • You actively shape the further development of the services, processes and platform of the Enterprise Data Catalog in close coordination with the topic owner

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You have a degree in the field of computer science, business administration or similar
  • You have many years of professional experience in the areas of data strategy, data management, data governance and data architecture for different business areas
  • You already have many years of in-depth professional experience and further qualifications in this field, but no degree? Then we would also be pleased to receive your application
  • You have in-depth knowledge and experience in the design, implementation and operationalisation of data governance applications
  • You have extensive experience in the practical implementation of international data management standards (e.g. DAMA, ITIL, TOGAF, EDM); certification, e.g. DAMA CDMP or EDM DCAM or comparable is an advantage
  • You have very distinctive experience in the areas of requirement engineering, demand or project management, agile working models and ideally initial technical management experience
