Your Challenge

As Senior Contract & Claim Manageryour mission you will take full responsibility of financial risk evaluation andcontract drafting and negotiation, as well as management of project contractclaims (Claim Management). You will ensure timely and efficient management ofcontract process, starting with financial risk analysis and evaluation untilcontract closure and upon fulfillment of all contractual obligations, involvingthe Legal Department when appropriate.

Your mainactivities will be:

. Being Key focal point and owner for allactivities carried out within the contract package

  • Manage all day to day commercial and contractual issues and of claims to Client, Contractors and from Suppliers
  • Ensure mitigation of risks
  • Collaborate with Contract and Planning Manager of Client
  • Assist in the resolution of supplier technical queries and technical review/comment of deliverables
  • Determination as to whether a change shall be considered as a Variation preparing the drafting of claims and financial aspect of the Variation Negotiation with Commercial
  • Gathering the vital documentation for a claim Extension of Time or for the initial technical proposal
  • Liaise with schedulers in view of gathering the appropriate argumentation for an Extension of Time claim
  • Provide clear contractual analysis and advice to project team on matters concerning contractual obligations, contract risk, and claim management in collaboration with Legal Department.
  • Review incoming correspondence prior to issue to the client, and draft official correspondence.
  • Supervise claim-relevant events within project execution
  • Keep claim-relevant records, and establish and conduct claim tracking and reporting
  • Compile claim documentation / claim defense documentation
  • Provide support to the Project Managers and Financial Project Manager for contractual issues and to Procurement Department in negotiation of Subcontracts and Purchase Orders.
  • Collaboration in preparation of Project Completion Report and summarizing lessons learnt for feedback to the organization relevant to Contract Administration
  • Provide support for LOA (Limit of Authority) process implementation

To be a perfect fit for this role, youwould already have:

  • Validated experience in contracting and subcontracting experience (Electrical, Mechanical, Plumb and Civil contracts)
  • Experience in project execution including site activities and of risk appraisal and claims management for projects
  • Knowledge of Italian Commercial, Civil and Public Procurement law principles gained in Italian Multinationals or Multinational Branches based in Italy.
  • Knowledge of general contractual standards
  • Strong understanding of the risks of the contract(s) and the potential legal and financial consequences associated therewith.
  • Education background in Management Engineering
  • Analytical skills and Use of independent judgment and creativity in resolution of contract/ claim issues
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing and communication skills.
  • Passion to never-stop growing

  • Proficiency in English and Italian
  • Eligibility to work in Italy
