Siemens Mobility is looking for a Senior C++ Software Developer, committed to Optimization in Railroad Operations, to be hired with a permanent contract in Rome, Italy within the Center of Competence - Optimization area.

Your Challenge

As Senior C++ Software Developer your mission will be to contribute improving and innovating software to optimize Railroad Operations.

Some of the main activities will be:

• Collaborate with the development and the research teams to improve current algorithms and think of new ones
• Contribute to the improvement of the software architecture and code
• Maintain the current source code base

To be a perfect fit for this role, you would already have:

• Proven experience in the modern C++ language (c++11/14/17);
• Knowledge of Bash scripting;
• Knowledge of Linux OS;
• Education background in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent;
• Ability to set your own objectives as well as work in team;
• Knowledge of Java and/or Python is a plus;
• Passion to never-stop growing
• Respect and appreciation of each person’s uniqueness, willingness to co create and share knowledge
• Proficiency in English and Italian
• Eligibility to work in Italy
