Then come and join our global team as SCM Machine Connectivity and IoT Specialist (f/m/d) using your passion for medical technology to innovatively shape the digitalization of our medical device production by connecting production equipment and IoT devices to the cloud.

Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.



Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • As SCM Machine Connectivity & IoT Specialist, you will be responsible for the digitalization of production by defining and implementing a standardized and efficient connection of machines using cloud or on-premise solutions
  • You will connect our production equipment to cloud storage (e.g., Snowflake) or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) using the "Open Platform Communications Unified Architecture" (OPC UA) standard, among others, and thus make the data available for further analyses via Node-RED
  • You will lead the collaboration with our internal (e.g., production and other business lines) and external (e.g., manufacturers) partners, record their wishes and requirements, conduct requirements workshops and ensure their implementation
  • Together with our IT and data analyst team, you will design, develop and maintain database-based backend solutions, structures and processes as well as interface solutions
  • You will use your expertise to advise our internal stakeholders on technology trends in the context of connecting production equipment, especially in the IoT (Internet of Things) environment

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You have successfully completed a degree in (business) informatics or another relevant area
  • You have many years of professional experience in supply chain management / manufacturing environment and have gained extensive experience in the field of machine data networking / machine connectivity, Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud solutions such as Snowflake or SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud
  • You preferably have very sound knowledge of the Open Platform Communications Unified Architecture (OPC UA) standard and MQTT
  • Ideally, you have already gained experience with the SAP ME and Plant Connectivity (PCo) tools
