Job description

The SAP Power User is accountable for the global development, maintenance and usage of the SAP best practice business processes within the Sales and Distribution module (SD).

You will be responsible for leading, supporting and driving a global network of Advanced Key Users (AKUs) and Key Users. Their main purpose is to provide immediate support to SAP users and as necessary act as the liaison between the business and central IT support. Possessing a high level of skill in the SD process area, the SAP Power User should be able to filter requests for help and provide resolutions to the local business and escalate only issues that are true IT related or improvement opportunities.

You will be responsible for the global implementation of the common processes within the SD Process Area and has the authority to maintain, control and improve them For the support role the mandate is to maintain, control and develop the global adaptation of localized material e.g. training material.

The belongs to the Business organization and reports alsoto the“Local SAP Business Lead”.

Responsibilities

· Act as the SAP ‘System / process owner in AGT for SD
· Act as the main contact person for the global IT support organization (IT liaison) within the Business area.
· Take care of daily support SAP issues in the related business Process Area (accountability), this means undertaking the more advanced parts of the local End-User support as well as the 2nd level support.
· Monitor process compliance from users and support the use of the global SAP processes
· Help standardise SAP process across all business unites and sites within their functional area
· Initiate change requests for location or country demands and create suggestions for improving global processes (business scenarios/ Order to Cash process) for global decision.
· Ensure any new business process improvement proposals from other BUs and/or sites are fully assessed, documented and understood before progressing through the relevant ERP Communities of Practice.
· Suggest and support system improvements, including release upgrades and development activities in the local Business group based upon changes to blue-prints and application.
· Promote the use of SAP and drive adherence to standard global procedures.
· Assist in development of business work instructions, end user documentation, training material, translations and other localisations within the process area in the BU.
· Support SAP Projects (functional testing, integration testing) in cooperation with the local IT support team and the global parts in the Support Model.
· Ensure BU and/or site representation and participation in SAP Communities of Practice.
· Lead, drive and ensure that the global AKU and/or Key user “network” remains in place, is up to date and works effectively.
· Create and provide reporting requirements to the BU via SAP or other agreed reporting tools.
· Maintain system data integrity and run periodic data validity checks using agreed tools, e.g. Winshuttle
· Manage SAP user access and validity using the Siemens approved software to ensure compliant use of SAP.
· Guide and support the global AKU and/or Key Users doing the main business service tasks
· Drive and secure an effective communication between End Users and the Support organizations local and global parts including communicate and coordinate local effects of global decisions.
· Training of AKU, Key-Users and End-Users, this may be one-on-one or to larger groups of users.
· Participate in cross divisional and subsequent implementations of SAP ‘’ and execute project tasks as required.

What do I need to qualify for this role:

· Significant SAP Sales & Distribution / Customer Service experience in a manufacturing industry, ideally in Spare Parts / Customer Service / Salesforce CRM / EDI
· Strong and clear English communication skills are a must (dealing with global teams where English is a second language)
· Good knowledge of MS Office Tools
· Excellent time management
· Able to meet tight deadlines in a complex and sometimes challenging environment
· Able to clearly explain SAP topics in business terms to non-specialists
· Advanced SAP skills within SD functional area.
· Possess a deep understanding of the SAP business processes and how these interrelate with the other functions within SAP.
· Comprehensive SAP Integration and Regression testing expertise.
· Ability to troubleshoot and propose solutions.
· Demonstrate continuous process improvement skills.
· Ability to react to changing situations and encourage business change acceptance.

· Self-directed ability to work with limited supervision.
· Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization, including with technical teams, users and management.
· Expected travel to other sites across UK and occasional international travel to provide support and training as required.
