Job description
The role of anSAP Infrastructure Engineer is crucial for configuring and maintaining the SAPinfrastructure components such as servers, storage, and network devices. Inthis role, the SAP Infrastructure Engineer must have expertise in serveradministration, storage management, and network engineering with extensivebackground knowledge on SAP specific requirements. Here are some of the keyresponsibilities of an SAP Infrastructure Engineer:
- Configure and maintain SAP infrastructure components: The SAP InfrastructureEngineer is responsible for configuring and maintaining the SAP infrastructurecomponents such as servers, storage, and network devices. They ensure that theSAP infrastructure is optimized for performance, security, and availability.
- Install and configure SAP software: The SAPInfrastructure Engineer must install and configure the SAP software componentssuch as SAP application servers, database servers, and web servers. They ensurethat the software components are configured correctly and integrated with otherenterprise systems.
- Manage SAP backups and disaster recovery: The SAPInfrastructure Engineer must design and implement backup and disaster recoverysolutions for the SAP environment. They ensure that the backup and recoveryprocesses are tested regularly and meet the Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) andRecovery Point Objectives (RPO).
- Monitor and troubleshoot SAP infrastructure issues:The SAP Infrastructure Engineer must monitor the SAP infrastructure for issuessuch as performance bottlenecks, resource utilization, and security threats.They troubleshoot and resolve the issues promptly to minimize downtime andservice disruptions.
- Develop and maintain SAP infrastructuredocumentation: The SAP Infrastructure Engineer must develop and maintaindocumentation for the SAP infrastructure, including installation andconfiguration procedures, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures.They ensure that the documentation is up-to-date and accessible to other teammembers.
- Collaborate with other teams: The SAP InfrastructureEngineer must collaborate with other teams, mainly with our SAP functional teamas well as external providers, SAP Basis administrators, SAP architects, andsecurity consultants, to ensure that the SAP infrastructure supports thebusiness requirements and meets the security and compliance requirements.
Overall, the SAPInfrastructure Engineer is a critical role for configuring and maintaining theSAP infrastructure to support the business needs, ensuring that it is optimizedfor performance, security, and availability. They must have excellent technicalskills, problem-solving skills, and communication skills to work effectivelywith other teams and stakeholders.

Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards: starting from 2500 EUR brutto /month + VAR*
