Job description

Siemens Smart Infrastructure is looking for a driven and enthusiastic Energy Digitalization Expert – IoT & Cybersecurity Solutions to reinforce its Electrification & Automation team. In this role, you’ll play a vital role in the development of IoT & Cybersecurity solutions for power distribution and automation systems. The role requires a passion for digitalization and some commercial feeling.

What part will you play? 

You will become our expert in Digitalization and IoT products and cybersecurity services for the energy transmission and distribution market. You’ll be working closely together with our customers, your sales and project colleagues, as well as with other business units in Belgium; headquarter (mainly in Germany), product management and factories. Your journey will kick off with several product trainings, both in Belgium and at our headquarters or factories. This will prepare you for the following responsibilities: 

• Building up a deep knowledge of our digital IoT products and cybersecurity services. 
• Defining the best fitting portfolio elements and solutions for our local markets, together with Sales Management. 
• Assisting in the development and implementation of the local marketing concepts and strategies for the digital IoT portfolio.  
• Supporting sales for IoT and cybersecurity projects together with your colleagues in the sales team. This involves developing the right solution and participating in the complete sales process from offer preparation to contract closing. 
• Handing over the project to the project team and providing technical support to our project teams and customers on products and their integration into power systems and solutions.  

What you need to make real what matters. 
 

• You have a Master's degree in industrial IT, industrial/automation engineering or electrical engineering (or equivalence through experience)  
• You have some experience in the IoT or cybersecurity field.  
• You are highly interested in digitalization and cybersecurity topics.  
• You have a good understanding of customers' business needs and you have some commercial feeling. 
• You see opportunities and create use cases to apply the Siemens digital portfolio.  
• Knowledge of Energy Automation Systems, electrical grids as well as experience in dealing with software/ IOT sales and communication standards (e.g. Modbus TCP/IP, IEC61850) is an advantage. 
• You are open to occasional businesstrips.  
• You have a good knowledge of written and spoken Dutch, French & English.
