Rotating Equipment Engineer

Overview and Mission of the role

You will play a meaningful role in ensuring our fleet works to its best capability, keeping the lights on and our customers happy!

You will be responsible for providing engineering & technical support expertise for centrifugal compressors and gas turbine issues to our customers supporting multiple product lines across different Product Competency Centres (PCC). An excellent communicator able to analyse complex problems and provide professional guidance in the resolution of issues.

Travel will be required to provide on-site technical support to internal and external customers and Field Engineers.

This is your role. What part will you play?

·  Support of direct technical queries, Procedural advice & Parts identification
·  Prepare failure reports
·  Analyse data on failures to identify reoccurring events / patterns and make recommendations.
·  Working closely with the customer to resolve customer issues
·  Raise and track issues to assist resolution and manage support from relevant PCC where solutions cannot be found locally.
·  Liaise with colleagues at other sites to find technical solutions.
·  Raise / track Engineering Change Requests (ECR's) where required.
·  Prepare for and attend monthly customer Technical Queries Meeting.
·  Assist at Contract Meetings if requested (including providing presentation material).
·  Review data and monitoring reports to look for trends and make recommendations
·  Assist Project Manager in creation of supporting work packs for planned and unscheduled maintenance - create/provide a method statement or ensure accuracy of previous method statement, and confirm that all recommended tools and spare parts have been identified.
·  Liaise with platform to ensure that documentation for work permits is available in advance.
·  Liaise with Field Service Engineers whilst work is in progress to answer any queries.
·  Review Field Service Reports from completed campaigns to ensure review and continuous improvement for future campaigns or identification of issues to resolve.
·  Provide information to enable preventative maintenance change requests to be raised on standard work instructions based on output from After Action Reviews, or from new Bulletins issued.
·  Carry out an annual review of Work Instructions and issue a report detailing any recommended changes with customer for review and inclusion into their systems.
·  Review Daily Logs from platform to identify any issues.
·  Maintain reliability and availability data with up-to-date with running hours and incident data.
·  Available to travel offshore to assist platform troubleshooting
·  Periodic trips offshore to collect data / review procedures / collate information for upcoming work scopes / etc as required to assist with campaigns.

What you need to make real what matters

·  Significant experience of working within operation and maintenance of centrifugal compressors and gas turbines.
·  A knowledge and understanding of root cause analysis, vibration analysis, performance and operation.
·  Interpretation of schematics and P&IDs for process is required.
·  Understanding of both the sequence and scheduling of all the required steps for the safe operation of all types of equipment, and the ability to solve issues with control panels which guide and check the units is an integral skill of this position.
·  Degree qualified or equivalent in a suitable Engineering discipline
·  Mechanically competent in the range of equipment discussed above
·  Competent in use of a range of PLC control systems and HMIs
·  Certified to work offshore UK preferred
