Job Type: Full Time

Duties: Engineer software to create new products or enhance existing products; Research methodologies to build e-mobile energy systems; Evaluate solution alternatives that involve energy systems, such as EV chargers, electrical grid, or power generation; Design software architectures that facilitate ecosystems for energy systems; Instruct business units on EV charging solutions, architectures, and communication protocols; Develop test strategies for energy systems to integrate e-mobility into the power grid.

Requirements: The employer will accept a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering or related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or related occupation. The position requires experience in the following: Charging electrical vehicles (EV); 2 years of experience with EV charging communication protocols including ISO 15118 and J1772; 1 year of experience with EV charging communication protocol Open Charge Point Protocol; Evaluating and improving the performance, scalability, reliability, and robustness of energy / emobility systems; 2 years of experience testing communication protocols for EVs; 2 years of experience with each at least one compiled (C++, C#, or Java) or one scripting language (Python or JavaScript); 2 years of experience with technical consulting; Working with digital certificate infrastructure for cybersecurity. 20% domestic and international travel is required. 80% telecommuting is permitted within commutable distance.
