This is a role well suited for a highly motivated student looking to build theirskill set and gain hands-on experience. As an R&D Data Science Co-op, youwill be responsible for:
- Working onData Science, Data Engineering, and Data Visualization projects within ourR&D Advanced Analytics and Product Insights team.
- Workingwithin a complex data landscape to create novel analytics tools and insights tofurther investigations and inform decision making.
- Creatingvisualizations for stakeholders of various organizational backgrounds anddeveloping novel ways to represent data.
- Workingwithin our Databricks development environment to perform exploratory dataanalysis and develop new data pipelines.
- Participatingin introductory level machine learning application projects.
- Taking partin knowledge exchange with our cross-functional Clinical Lab Solutions team toimprove and further develop our products and software solutions.
This position may suit you best if you’re familiar withthe following and would like to develop your skills
with Siemens Healthineers:
- Strong Pythonprogramming skills necessary.
- Power BI orsimilar visualization tool experience.
- Experienceand comfortability working within a complex data landscape and performingexploratory data analysis in various tools.
- Experienceand interest in creation of advanced analytics tools and visualizations tosupport and drive effective decision making.
- Motivation todevelop strong presentation and communication skills to present technical andbusiness-relevant insights at different levels of the organization.
- Willingnessto work in a cross-functional team to enhance analytical aspects of ourClinical Lab Solutions business line.
- Interfacingwith various data storage platforms – e.g., SQL warehouses, Azure, etc.
- Preferredskills: R programming skills, PySpark library experience, Databricks or similarcloud-based coding platform, SQL.
Required skills to have for the success of this role:
- Currently enrolled in aBachelor’s or Master’s degree program, majoring in Data Science, DataAnalytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences or related discipline(rising senior preferred).
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred)
