Job description
We are recruiting for a Quality Testing Technician to join our healthcare diagnostics team. The role is based at our well-established and modern manufacturing and distribution facility based at Llanberis, Wales. The facility, based in the Snowdonia National Park, manufactures and distributes reagents used in hospitals worldwide to aid the diagnosis of medical conditions. The primary function of this role is to operate and maintain complex equipment and Quality Control testing processes in-line with all associated procedural, health & safety requirements and work instructions.
You will work with colleagues and supervisors as part of a team of approx. 8-10 people to deliver the testing that the business requires to the right quality at the right time. To achieve individual targets and assist to achieve team targets.
This position involves working a rotating shift pattern of 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm.
What are my responsibilities?
· Operate and maintain complex equipment and processes following all associated procedures & flag any equipment outside calibration/specification.
· Complete procedural and Quality Assurance documents accurately
· Conduct quality and inspection checks and pay due care & attention to all practical techniques & results.
· Schedule and prioritise daily tasks such as assays, checks, data manipulations & computer transactions and complete within the timescale allocated.
· Ensure all QC tests are performed correctly and data is entered correctly & flag to team supervisors if any issues occur during testing.
· Work to meet output, quality and any other Scorecard targets
· Support Continuous Improvement activities
· Ensure that all work and general activities and conducted in-line with Health & Safety requirements and consideration
· Maintain a clean and tidy work area
· Conduct all work activities in-line with Good Manufacturing/Laboratory Practice (GMP/GLP)
