The areas of responsibility in your role include:
• Quality in processes and projects: Ensure execution of quality plan and quality gate process through active involvement in readiness checks and participation in quality gate meetings. Control quality gates and ensure the initiation and closure of corrective actions.
• Quality planning: Establish project specific quality plans e.g. acc. ISO 10005 / 10006, define appropriate quality targets based on project critical factors.
• Quality Control / Quality Assurance:
Hands on supervision of inspectors for the control of suppliers, subcontractors and in-house teams to comply with Project Quality Plans and ensure that the Quality Management System procedures are adhered to Manage in-coming and in-process inspections, installation inspections using appropriate documentation which shall include the recording of inspections and test results. Identify and take appropriate action for non-conformities and corrective actions. Interact with customer proactively.
• Quality reporting: Report quality status, quality incidents and root-cause-analysis to Project Management, based on determined KPIs, key figures and specified characteristics. Communicate quality targets to all people affected or involved. Escalate project-risk situations as appropriate.
• Quality-based supplier management: Plan and ensure the required quality level of the project-specific supply chain (internal & external) with the focus on specifications and interface definitions. This includes the support of the SQM in the application of supplier-related procedures, such as selection, qualification, development, integration, supervision and auditing.
• Continuous improvement: Support the planning, initiation and coordination of continuous improvement actions for all project phases. Ensure good practice sharing and feedback of experience e.g. through continuous improvement workshops (esp. lessons learned) and project assessments.
Qualifications and experience you’ll need.
• Engineering Degree or equivalent
• Proven relevant experience within Quality Management
• Knowledge of BS EN ISO 9001: 2015 and its practical application within a large organization
• Good communication skills, both oral and written in English.
• Good communication skill in German language will be an added advantage
• Excellent IT skills (specifically MS Office)
• CQI Membership
• Ability to present information clearly and unambiguously, both written and oral, and to lead/facilitate group activities and workshops
