We are looking for Quality Engineer. This position will be based at Hingham, MA.

As a Quality Engineer with one of the world’s most respected manufacturers of automatic transfer switches and power control systems, you will support the Switchgear Department with assembly coordination and scheduling. This is a phenomenal opportunity for you to help a great sales and manufacturing organization become even better!

Your Mechanical expertise will help this manufacturing organization improve their ability to make the world a safer and more reliable place: think hospitals, data centers, utilities, mass transportation, and other aspects of life as we know it that need reliable power systems. You will be part of providing solutions to the world’s growing need for conscientious critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and coordinate response to internal and external QA issues with suppliers, customers, management, and production personnel and provide appropriate follow-up
  • Lead and facilitate corrective action (8D) problem solving teams using root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies
  • Conduct ISO9001 :2015 internal audits and develop appropriate action items
  • Lead scrap reduction and process capability improvement studies
  • Optimally lead and participate in cross-functional team and CI projects
  • Train personnel on new QA plans and work instructions as well as statistical and problem-solving techniques
  • Maintain knowledge of inspection tools and gauges, including aiding with gauge calibration and gauge R&R/capability studies
  • Prepare quality report / graphs / presentation using MS office / Excel / Power point

Basic Qualifications:

  • This position supports a Siemens customer that requires all employees and vendors to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 were permitted by applicable law and in accordance with an accommodation based on legally protected reasons.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management systems or equivalent
  • 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience with electrical product (preferred)
  • Knowledgeable in quality assurance subject areas.
  • Proficient in quality systems and their application.
  • Proficient in ISO9001:2015 QMS
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Basic knowledge of SAP (required)
  • Travel up to 5 %
  • Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches)

  • The pay range for this position is $78-$120. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
