This is a role well suited to an ambitiousprofessional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Quality Control Microbiology and Stability Supervisor , you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a team of 3 with one person focused on product stability testing and two focused on micro testing.
  • Quality Control Microbiological technical activities, such as but not limited to: Coordinating environmental monitoring testing program, scheduling, and performing purified water testing, maintaining calibration schedules for Microbiological testing equipment, generating quarterly reports / productivity data, and validation activities for Software and Equipment.
    • Environmental monitoring program will include and not limited to: scheduling and performing testing, generating results, and reporting results to area supervision.
    • Purified water testing will include and not limited to: scheduling and performing testing, generating results and consulting with facilities personnel on purified water system modifications.
    • Microbiology testing equipment will include and not limited to: SAS air samplers, Biolog identification system, Spiral Plater, Platemaker, and Autoclave. 
    • Perform bioburden testing on Dimension, Stratus, Advia, and Atellica reagents.

  • You can identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them
  • You can learn and follow the Quality Change Process required in the Quality Control and Operations area to be able to plan, author, execute and document projects
  • You understand Quality Control, testing, and microbiology as it pertains to the diagnostics industry
  • You can lead and understand the most complex quantitative and qualitative analysis, such as sampling, testing and measuring using complex equipment
  • You can develop, recommend and implement technical document changes to meet regulatory quality requirements and SAP based manufacturing system needs
  • You have knowledge of the FDA regulated environment and ISO/IVDD standards
  • You have knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, and other like tools

Required skills to have for thesuccess of this role

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum 2+ years Managing Direct reports or other Leadership experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in a relevant field with Microbiology or Medical Technologist background.
  • Strong knowledge of GLP, GMP, and GDP as per clinical chemistry practices.
  • Must be able to work independently on a team and be able to multi-task and prioritize daily work.
