Job Title: QEHS Inspector - (Quality Focused)

Siemens Wind Power is looking to recruit a QEHS inspector to be based at our offshore operations facility in Hull, United Kingdom.

The primary function of the role is to provide professional Quality support to the pre-assembly Site Management team whilst maintaining an active part in the Zero Harm safety focus.

What are my responsibilities?

· Ensure all work is being completed as per the relevant work instructions, that all work is being correctly and progressively recorded onto the relevant check-sheets and to immediately report any areas of incomplete/substandard work to the Site Management Team.
· Proactively check, validate and report performance of the site technical teams to ensure continuous improvement and early identification of potential trends that may compromise the realization target of Zero Defect.
· Actively participate in internal, client and verification walk-downs and accurately record all findings into the inspection management software.
· Actively participate in the verification, close-out and reporting of all non-conforming inspection findings ensuring full audit traceability.
· Achieve seamless integration into the installation team structure and demonstrate consistent high levels of communication within a multi-national and professional work team environment.
· Advise the Site Management Team on all QEHS matters whilst carrying out all Site Inspector duties as outlined within the relevant Siemens Systems
· Consistently act as a role model to ensure Zero Harm and Zero Defect cultures are effectively maintained.
· Responsible for ensuring that the as-built (quality) documentation is complete, accurate and verified before being transferred to the QA management team.
· Ensure full traceability of all main turbine components through each phase of installation through to handover.
· Ensure all defective components are clearly identified, that dispositions for such have been applied for and that subsequent resolutions are performed and recorded as specified.
· Provide input into the project specific site induction and ensure all project personnel have been informed of their responsibilities and obligations towards Quality and EHS.
· Monitor the implementation and adherence to the project Offshore Environmental Health and Safety Plan and IMS related procedures
· Collect and report observations of near misses, accidents, incidents and deviations from agreed standards and efficiently report through the agreed communication channels.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

· Relevant Quality Inspection experience in the Marine/Offshore construction industry (Essential);
· Demonstratable continuous professional development within a Quality Control and/or Assurance related role;
· Experience of working in a similar role within Construction or EPC projects;
· Strong written, verbal communication and language skills;
· Familiar with Microsoft software packages and industry inspection tools;
· Valid Driving License;
· Relevant industry training & certification

It will be the single largest Wind Turbine organisation in the world and will be dominant across all global markets. Consequently, we anticipate that the role offered will transfer in accordance with TUPE to a new company that shall be part of this merger, currently targeted for 1st December 2016.
