This is a role well suited for a highly motivatedcandidate looking to build their skill set and gain hands-on experience tobuild Continuous Improvement Culture, as would be responsible for:

Theprimary contents of the work will be:

•           Engineering of protection logic &programs for different FACTS solutions

•           Carrying out Field equipment tests onthe installed equipment after erection clearance.

•           Inspecting, Testing, andpre-commissioning activities.

•           Testing and configuration of Energymeters and Measuring meters.

•           Scheme checking: Functional &Interface test / Trip Interlock test / Commissioning Scheme check and Sitedrawing markup copies.

•           Expertise in Siemens and SEL makerelays is preferred but not mandatory. However, should be an expert in any oneof OEM relays.

•           Should have adequate knowledge ofelectrical substation components.

•           Creating documents like designreports, test reports, and operation & and maintenance manuals

•           Understanding the behavior ofdifferent types of FACTS devices and their roles in the power system will be anadded advantage. 

•           Knowledge on different communicationprotocols like IEC61850, IEC-104, IEC-101, DNP3.0, Modbus, etc.

•           Knowledge of SICAM A8000 Hardware andits configuration is desired.

•           Excellent team player

•           Should have no reservations about travelingto sites. The sites can be in India or foreign countries. 

•           Experience in commissioning the FACTSinstallations at sites in India and abroad is desired.

•           Be ready to travel at short notice.

•           Usually, the duration for sitedeputation is 5-6 months continuous. The facilities at the site available wouldbe basic in nature. Accommodation and transport will be mostly shared type.

•          Having previous experience working onFACTS projects would be an added advantage.

Educational requirement

•  B.E. Electrical or B.E. Electrical and Electronics
• Required experience- 3-6 Years.
