We are recruiting for a Project Supply Chain Manager to join our Rolling Stock Customer Services business to drive materials preparation for project overhauls and promote supplier engagement.

In this critical role, you will lead all materials requirements for projects within Customer Services and develop and maintain data driven methodologies to support the proactive management of suppliers and ensure efficiency, train reliability, sustainability, safety and delivery to our customers.

You’ll make an impact by

  • Understanding and articulating the project's material requirements and delivery schedules in conjunction with operations and project management
  • Strategically managing the orderbook in coordination with planning and forecasting teams to guarantee sufficient material coverage for the project and maintain production adherence
  • Detailed understanding of the current stocklist on hand as well as incoming, making sure materials stock provision is managed
  • Completing accountability for reporting the materials status in comparison to production plans, encompassing all consumable and repairable materials
  • Co-ordinating and overseeing all material obsolescence for the project, which may involve interacting with the supply chain

Your success will be grounded by

  • Previous experience of working in an operationally focused or contractual management role ideally within Supply Chain, Transport, Logistics environment
  • Thorough understanding of materials management supply chain processes
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management principles
  • Excellent reporting and presentation skills
  • Demand planning, forecasting and expediting management experience
