Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy now has an exciting opportunity for a Project Planner to work within our rapidly growing Offshore business. Based in our office in Frimley, you will be responsible for planning and monitoring progress of Projects in a standard & consistent format. The successful candidate should have solid experience within project planning and be an experienced user of Primavera.

What are my responsibilities?

As the Project Planner, you will be responsible all planning activities such as deciding on and implementing project specific planning setup (e.g. integration of package programs), developing and maintaining optimal schedules for Projects and undertaking critical path analysis and Milestone Trend Analysis (MTA)

You will run scenario analyses, create monthly baseline activities and ensure program complies with requirements for standard and portfolio reporting. You will also be responsible for archiving and documentation of program after completion.

This role is responsible for resource (people and equipment) planning, including demands in BI publisher and reviewing and updating it on a monthly basis. You will monitor progress and performance and prepare planning part of the monthly project report. You will conduct regular briefing and review of planning topics with the Project Manager.

Lastly, the Project Planner will identify schedule related risks and support mitigations.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive programme management experience within a project based team. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and be able to prepare and deliver presentations in a professional manner.

You will have proven experience of using Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Project. You will also have commercial experience and a good awareness and understanding of contracts. To be successful in this role, it would be very helpful to have experience within the Energy and Utilities industry.

This role also involves an amount of travel and the right candidate will be willing and able to travel in the UK and abroad.
