Project Management Professional

ProjectManagement:

• To execute projects within the defined requirements (e.g. regarding targets for project cost, time, quality, functionality and customer satisfaction) with close coordination across multiple functions including engineering, business controlling, supply chain management, logistics as well as interfaces with other project management offices as key internal stake holders.
• Be responsible to drive the project according to areas of project management within PE@ SE (earlier PM@Siemens) Project Excellence Guidelines including preparing detailed project management plans, resources allocation, conduct monthly project reviews and reporting project health status, controlling NCCs, preparing / updating project risk register and derive mitigation measures, timely preparation of claims and ensure claim management, material handling and related logistics, and finally achieving execution excellence including higher customer satisfaction.
• To prepare purchase requisition with detailed scope of work for contractors and support supply chain management during negotiations.
• To possess strong analytical/problem solving skills and negotiation skills for effective handling of Risk and Opportunity as well as Claim Management leading to overall project success and customer satisfaction.
• To consider travelling as an integral part of the job and ready to travel frequently for short to medium duration to sites for customer meetings during project execution.
• To create new business opportunities while executing projects.

• To adhere to highest safety standards and exhibit process-oriented approach.
• To have knowhow of full profit and loss responsibility in managing projects in Oil & Gas / Paper & Pulp / Marine segments. Previous work experience with domain knowhow in these verticals shall have an added advantage.
• To have experience in handling complex projects involving multi-cultural, multi-national, multi-regional, diverse group of project team members and stake holders as well as understanding topics related to taxation, cross-border staffing and contract management very well.

·       To be able tocarry out Electrical project procurement activities as EPC Contractor.

·       To do meetingswith client / consultant for their queries, issues during execution stage.

·       To be able to dotechnical discussion with Electricity Board & final load analysis approval.

·       To have knowhowof IS/IEC/IE standards for selection/sizing of equipment’s.

·       To understand& review the Key Single Line Diagram, design basis for project, planning ofdetailed Scope of Supply as per Specifications, Preparation of document controlindex, inspection categorization, project plan.

·       To prepare ofpurchase requisition with Tech. Specification of various Electrical Equipment’si.e. data sheets for Transformer, DG Set, switchyard equipment’s,MV/LV/VFD/SST/Control panels, Drives, motors, DC system, Field equipment suchas cables, cable trays, earthing, lighting etc. and also review vendor offers.

·       To have knowhow& understanding of Load Flow Analysis, Short Circuit Analysis & motorAcceleration, System Fault level calculation, Sizing calculations oftransformer. Sizing calculations of HT/LT capacitors. Sizing calculations of DCsystem. Sizing calculation, emergency DG Set, Sizing calculations for Bus bar,CT/PT sizing calculations. NGR Temperature rise & sizing calculations. Heatload loss calculations. HT/LT cable sizing calculations for continuous current,steady & starting voltage drop calculations by analytical & vectormethod. Preparation of cable schedule. Earthing & lightning protection& zoning details. Cable trays sizing calculations. Illuminationcalculations. Area lighting design such as street lighting, room lighting &industrial lighting. Electrical input/output details for SCADA/DCS/PLC. Relayco-ordination concept.

·       To have knowhow &understanding of Electrical equipment layout (Sub-station Room) cable trayrouting & Cable trench layout. cable gallery arrangement & load detailsas input to civil. Earthing & lightning protection layout lighting layout.PV, AC system layout. Civil work guide layout.

·       To have knowhow &understanding of Installation & Commissioning of equipment’s &Shut-down activities.

·       To have knowhow &understanding of dealing with Civil & Structural Work.

·       BE/BTech/Diploma – Electrical / Electronics / IndustrialElectronics Engineering

• Valid PM Certification (Cat C Project as per PM @ Siemens as a pre-requisite for this position will be an added advantage).

·       10 years+ in Project Management for projects involving electricalcomponents/systems across electrical and automation field with basicengineering knowhow.

·       Project knowledge & experience in in Oil& Gas / Paper & Pulp / Marine segmentsverticals will be an added advantage.
