Position Overview

The role of the Project Engineer is to conduct engineering activities in order to enable success of overall project objectives. A Project Engineer gathers data, and prepares, analyzes, maintains and presents plans and progress reports to monitor project progress. In addition, the Project Engineer will escalate problems as needed and completes project activities.

Responsibilities

·  Prepares and maintains project plans, budgets, and staffing requirements to ensure that all action item lists are completed, and project quality expectations are met.
·  Prepares and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s) to ensure that established targets are met.
·  Progresses projects through a business / design gated stage product development process.
·  Identifies and escalates project problems and supports resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects.
·  Manage project assignments with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.
·  Oversees and coordinates the administrative and operational aspects of ongoing projects within program guidelines.
·  Reviews project and budget status manages schedules and prepares reports.
·  Meets program schedules and budgets and maintains the integrated master schedules for project(s).

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

·  5 – 7 years' experience in a combination project management / design engineering of mechanical equipment
·  Strong experience utilizing Microsoft Suite including MS Project
·  Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Aeronautical/Aerodynamic, or equivalent degrees from an ABET accredited college/university will be considered)
·  Ability to work collaboratively and individually with the same enthusiasm and intensity
·  Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills
·  Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally with short notice (estimated up to 25% travel)
·  Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter
·  Ability to read drawings and understand GD&T requirements
