As part of the next phase of recruitment for our Wind Turbine Blade Manufacturing Facility in Hull we are advertising for Production Operatives to work within our Assembly Department. Our Assembly Operatives work alongside Drilling Operatives who drill holes into the newly painted blades to exacting tolerances ready for the Assembly Operatives insert bolts and prepare the blade ready for shipping offshore.

Our blades will be 75metres long and will be installed offshore on some of the biggest planned Wind Farms in the UK and Europe.

We are looking for candidates who possess very high levels of attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions in a logical and safe manner. If you have a passion for delivering quality and work well within a team environment this could be the job for you.

Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment is desirable, however we will also consider candidates who can demonstrate their ability to follow instructions and work well within a team environment.

What are my responsibilities?

· Organise and use materials, tools and equipment
· Plan and lay out work
· Carry out bolt insertion and final finishing
· Follow strict engineering specifications and quality standards
· Check and monitor constantly ensuring very high levels of attention to detail

· The person carrying out this role must ensure complex processes are followed exactly, failure to do this could damage a blade and the cost and lost time of this happening is excessive.
· Roles in the plant are safety critical and random drug and alcohol tests will be carried out. Failing this test could result in dismissal.
· You will be working as part of a close team and you’ll need to build excellent relationships.
· You must be able to follow instructions exactly as you are directed and not take short cuts or implement process improvements without following the correct procedure.
· Marking out, measuring and fitting of components using a variety of sealant applications
· Drilling/fitting of components using specific types of hand tools, ensuring all is correct to drawing and standard specifications

What do I need to qualify for this role?

· A focus on health and safety is essential

· Must be able to work well as part of a team
· A desire to continuously improve
· Experience of working with fiberglass is advantageous although not essential
· Ability to work shifts including nights and weekends
· The flexibility to travel to Denmark for training purposes (with at least 6 months left on your passport at the end of training)

What else do I need to know?

· You will work a shift pattern that may include nights and weekends, plus some hand over time at the beginning and at the end of each shift. You would normally work an average of 40 hours per week.
· If you pass the initial screen please be aware that you will be expected to complete online behavioral assessments.
