ProductEngineer FPGA prototyping

JobDescription:

• Deploy Siemens FPGAprototyping software and hardware solutions at early customers and guide thecustomers to successful design bring-up.
• Work closely with R&D tosolve problems and find good, general solutions that improve the overallproduct.
• Ensure existing customersmaximize the value they receive from the solution by developing and enhancingmethodology that exploits the solution’s capabilities.
• Work with QA and Docs to helpthem create tests and documentation that will improve our solutions.
• Create and release examplesand tutorials that are shipped with our products.
• Develop and/or refinemethodology employed in creating and using prototypes and maximizing the valueof our prototyping solution.
• Interfaces with customerengineers and managers to develop or enhance complex computer-aided engineeringdesign or manufacturing processes, uses complex design and tooling tasksinvolving multiple design environments.
• Cogently communicates softwareproblems to product development. Assists other engineers in the design,development, and implementation of large scale, complex graphical applicationprograms on multiple software products and hardware platforms.
• Provides business andtechnical feedback to software and hardware vendors. Uses advanced dataexchange methodologies to facilitate effective data sharing between dissimilarsystems or applications that span across engineering disciplines.
• Guides and train ApplicationsEngineers.
• Works with general supervisionon complex projects with latitude for independent judgment and discretion.Moderate skills with high level of proficiency

Jobrequirements:

Experience& Education

• 3 or more years in design,verification, simulation, emulation and prototyping of electronics chips andsystems.
• BS or MS in EE, CE, CS orrelated areas

Technical:

• Experience with FPGA design,FPGA tools and/or STA.
• Experience with FPGA basedPrototyping hardware and software.
• Experience in hardware design.
• SystemVerilog, Verilog andVHDL RTL design experience.
• Verification experience withSystemVerilog, SystemC and/or C/C++
• Debug of RTL designs andsimulation.
• Proficient in scriptinglanguages used today (e.g., Perl, Python, various shell scripts/Makefiles, XML,JSON, etc.).
• Experience with emulation.
• Competitive personality drivento win, ethically, in competitive business situations.
• Good communication andinter-personal skills.
• Ability to create and deliverproduct demos, live via internet or recorded.
• Ability to create and deliverproduct presentations focused on functionality and value differentiation.
• Ability to travel domesticallyand internationally. Travel includes customer meetings as well as visits toother Siemens R&D sites.
