Job Description

What is the Procurement Leadership Development Intern Program?

The Procurement Leadership Development Program Internship (PLDP) prepares you to support a wide range of businesses as a potential future leader within our organization. You will learn what it takes to analyze and manage the supply chain and procurement aspects of a company ranked among the top 50 in sales in the world. You will receive training from Siemens' team of business leaders and gain access to and network with Siemens' senior decision-makers.

You will have the opportunity to support the Procurement Team in providing regular and ad-hoc procurement analysis and reporting. You will get to complete various assigned research projects that will drive improving procurement behaviors, profitability and achieving business goals.

This is a 12-week summer internship program that offers hands-on experience in a real-world working environment. The internship program is designed to identify top candidates for the full-time rotational Procurement Leadership Development Program upon graduation.

·  You will get to provide support with developing and quantifying procurement improvements
·  Be able to support with data collection and analysis for RFPs
·  You will be tasked to complete standard and Ad-hoc reports and assist with data clean-up and organizeand consolidate data files
·  You will participate in Strategic Procurement Team projects and initiatives

To apply for this program candidates must meet the following requirements:

·  Education Required: Sophomore or Junior at reputable university with minimum 3.0 GPA
·  Majors: Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or Technology
·  Other required experience: Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint); experience with Tableau a plus but not necessary
·  Expectations are to work 35 - 40 hours per week during non-school periods, with the option to work 15 – 25 hours per week during school semesters based on performance and business needs
