Siemens Industry is looking for a Planner/Buyer for our Grand Prairie, Tx manufacturing facility. Our growing facility produce high-quality, engineer-to-order power distribution equipment. Our processes include material handling, metal fabrication, painting, final assembly and test. The position is responsible to balance supply and demand and coordinate the different functions within the manufacturing plant to ensure the completion of the customer orders on time in the most cost effective/productive way to meet our financial targets as well.


You will make an impact by:
-Coordinate and balance supply and demand. Evaluating customer requirements and material supply to develop detailed production plans to achieve a high level of schedule adherence.
-Works closely with purchasing, warehouse, shipping and customer service to plan and prioritize orders to fulfill customer requirements on time and ensure maximum performance, considering resources needed and available, to meet, at the same time, our financial goals.
-Drive and coordinate daily weekly shipping schedule.
- Analyzes large amount of data to develop strategies for continuous improvement.
-Review and work with Master Data Steward to update and/or fix SAP material master when needed.
- Responsible for meeting delivery reliability, schedule adherence and cost saving/productivity initiatives for the site.
-Prepare and publish performance reports.
- Work closely with different departments to ensure accuracy of information and on time delivery.
-Support purchasing team as needed.
-Analyze requisitions and release orders to suppliers, ensuring on time delivery to support production needs.


You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in production planning or production control with ERP system in manufacturing environment.
- BS/BA/BSE in related discipline, or advanced degree. Experience can be considered.
- Advanced hands on knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel).

Preferred Skills:
- APICS Certification is a plus
- Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus
- Microsoft Access is a plus

• The pay range for this position is $58,310 - $99,960. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
