The Power and Gas Division offers a broad spectrum of products and solutions for environmentally-compatible and resource-saving power generation, using fossil or renewable fuels for efficient energy production and the reliable transport of oil and gas. Customers are utilities, independent power producers, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPCs) companies and industrial customers e.g. the oil and gas industry.

Join our team now in the Power and Gas Division as Piping Engineer (m/f) in Vienna.'

What are my responsibilities?

· Review of customer specifications in offer phase, especially regarding piping, valves, constructability, function ability and costs
· Execution of Piping scope for power plant projects
· Preparation of technical specifications and inquiry documentation
· Tracking of Project targets (milestones, hours) and conducting of design reviews and coordination work
· Coordination and optimization of interfaces (mechanical, electrical, I&C, layout, civil)
· Review of contractors engineering manufacturing- and quality documentation
· Supervision of contractors time schedules and costs
· Coordination of the preparation of customer documentation
· Coordination of contractors with project and site requirements
· Claim Management and negotiation
· Proposal estimation piping scope

What do I need to qualify for this job?

· College degree, preferable within the field of piping engineering/mechanical engineering or equivalent combination of education and with minimum 3 years’ experience from the power generation and EPC market
· Customer focus: capability of changing perspectives and adapting strategies and actions to the dynamic environment
· Capability to lead cross-functional and cross-product line initiatives, domestically and internationally
· Self-motivation with high energy drive and business sense
· Capability of multitasking, with excellent organizational skills while assuring a high quality work process
· Willingness for business travels with international contacts
· Excellent English skills

What else do I need to know?

The gross annual payment for this job vacancy is at least EUR42.302,- depending on education and experience. An overpayment is possible depending on the performances. Siemens as an international company offers additional social benefits.
