This is a rolewell suited for a highly motivated student looking to build their skill set andgain hands-on experience. As a PET Physics Intern, you will be responsible for:

• Implementing and comparing AI-based algorithms for improving PET detection performance.
• Contributing to data processing and supporting tasks including the design and quantitative assessment of the developed algorithms.
• Documenting developed methodologies for knowledge transfer.
• Participating in knowledge exchange with R&D team for product enhancement.

Thisposition may suit you best if you are familiar with what is below, and would like to developyour skills with Healthineers:

• You will learn about basics of PET (Positron Emission Tomography) imaging.
• You will learn about adapting different AI algorithms for various applications related to medical imaging.
• You will be working with our latest technology and therefore you are willing to learn about new software and hardware solutions.
• You will have the opportunity to be included in research works that will be presented in scientific manuscripts and/or related conferences.

Required skills and education to have for thesuccess of this role:

• You are expected to have proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI and image processing, such as MATLAB, Python, or Java.
• You are expected to have basic knowledge on popular deep learning frameworks (such as PyTorch), libraries, and architectures for image processing tasks.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s or PhD’s degree program, majoring in Physics, Computer Science, or related engineering programs (minimum rising senior preferred)
• Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred)
