Parts Definition Engineer
Siemens ADGThas an interesting opportunity for an experienced engineer to join us as a Parts Definition Engineer.
Based in our Warwick office, but with some travel, you will be responsible for interacting with internal and external customers on parts issues, aiding aftermarket sales.
As a Parts Definition Engineer you will also have responsibility to regional sales team and key customer accounts to improve configuration, establish maintenance planning sessions, improve customer satisfaction, and drive sales.
Managing outsource engineering resources in the completion of the spares list for the baseline; you will lead of Spares definition and work with project management, project engineers, and subject matter experts to ensure spares lists are complete and correct.
What are my responsibilities?
· To manage key customer programs related to parts or maintenance plans.
· To produce cost and margin analysis, project and business risk analysis, bid approval documentation, and terms and conditions.
· Review gas turbine build configurations and ensure correct parts are delivered to customers
· Prepare modification packs to facilitate changes to the gas turbine design.
· To Project Manager programs to completion, managing Quality, Production and Maintenance aspects of the spare part baselines.
· Improve definition of parts inSiemens system.
· Conduct technical review and audit of baseline documentation with Subject Matter Experts and technical review and audit of final project documentation with Project Lead Engineer.
· Support legacy projects with review of obsolete parts for definition of suitable replacements.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
· Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
· A demonstrable understanding of Gas Generator, Power Turbine, Compressor, Unit Control Panel, Package Support Systems and the Bill of Material System.
· Experience with conducting design audits.
· An understanding of a wide variety of process equipment and maintenance procedures.
· Ability to develop / manage project schedules and cross functional resources.
· Ability to read and prepare design specifications, P&IDs, and assembly drawings.
· Knowledge of Industry Standards and Certification requirements (ASME, ASTM, NEC, IEC, CE Directives).
· Ability to develop / manage project schedules and resources.
· SAP, PDM, Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point and Access.
· Team Centre and Unigraphics knowledge would be advantageous
