We are currently recruiting for Rolling Stock Overhaul Supervisor to support our bogie overhaul team at Hornsey train care facility on a 12 month rolling contract for 3 years.
You’ll make a difference by…
- Leading a team of up to 10 technicians from the shop floor to exchange bogies whilst ensuring their safely and meeting the return to service schedule.
- Implementing management policy and personally resolving staff issues
- Managing Cormap transactions and ensuring the correct details are captured.
- Promote 5S by ensuring the workshop is kept to suitable standard and promote continuous improvement.
- Ensuring suitable proficiency across the team and create a strong team.
- Ensure the quality of the product IE the safety and reliability of the train or component worked on.
- Spend more than 50% of your shift on the floor supervising your staff.
- Deliver to the agreed production plans.
- Lead investigations that relate to an incident or accident.
- Implement safe systems and controls within your area of responsibility. Understand, implement and align with the Siemens Rolling Stock HSEW.
- Monitor compliance to meet internal control procedures and take appropriate corrective action(s).
Your success will be grounded by…
Essential:
- Leadership experience
- Good knowledge of IT systems/software
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral Strong organization/planning skills
- Good understanding of Health, Safety and environment requirements
Preferred:
- Experience with people management and leading production tasks.
- Technical knowledge of Rolling Stock maintenance procedures/practices.
- Engineering ONC or equivalent qualification or experience.
- Basic understanding of continuous improvement principles.
- Good solid understanding with Cormap.
