We are looking for an Oracle DBA Professional (m/f):

What are my responsibilities?

· Install, configure, operate and upgrade Oracle server software and related products
· Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products
· Establish and maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures
· Take care of the Database design and implementation
· Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges)
· Perform database tuning and performance monitoring
· Maintain documentation of audit and business relevant data
· Plan growth and changes (capacity planning)
· Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support when required
· Be available to perform administrative activities outside business hours (after 17:00 or on weekends).
· Perform general technical troubleshooting, initiate and implement measures to prevent errors, initiate escalation processes if necessary
· Provide developer support by assisting in solving technical problems.
· Interface with Oracle support when necessary

What do I need to qualify for this job?

· 3+ years Oracle DBA hands on experience in versions 11g and 12g
· Expert Oracle DBA knowledge including upgrades, backup/recovery (RMAN), patching strategies/capabilities and day-to-day support
· Strong skills in Oracle performance tuning and PL/SQL programming
· Strong understanding of SQL tuning and optimization of query plans
· Strong knowledge in Installation, Upgrade, Configuration and Patching of Oracle APEX
· Knowledge in Administration tools (ex. Toad, Oracle GRID Control, SQLDeveloper) and Monitoring Tools (Nagios)
· Experience working with Oracle on Linux/Solaris and Windows
· Strong Knowledge in Dataguard, Oracle Heterogeneous services
· Project coordination skills
· Knowledge in ITIL Foundation
· Strong teamwork, decision-making, documentation and analytical skills
· Oracle OCP/OCA is a plus
· Knowledge in MySQL or PostgreSQL are a plus
· Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing)
· German knowledge is a plus
